After weeks of Instagram teases and plenty of hype, on Sunday night (May 17) Taylor Swift finally debuted her BFF-filled new music video for her latest 1989 single "Bad Blood" with a fresh remix courtesy of Kendrick Lamar.
The music video, as many fans guessed, kicked off with Swift and Selena Gomez pulling off a heist together. But, as the title and lyrics of the song tease, Gomez betrays her friend, kicking her out the window.
Swift is soon taken to a mysterious warehouse and trains to be an assassin. That's when every single person that Swift has ever come into contact with comes into play, also as trained assassins. You have Lena Dunham, Zendaya, Karlie Kloss, Ellie Goulding, Hayley Williams and even Cindy Crawford coming out of the woodwork to help Swift along as she trains to get Gomez back.
All along the way, Lamar pops up here and there to deliver rap verses, with half his face on screen and Swift's on the other.
The music video builds up and builds up and builds up for some sort of epic fight between Swift's "Catastrophe" and Gomez's "Arsyn." But, well, they meet up, bump elbows and that's about it.
