According to a new post on Instagram by 50 Cent, it appears as though the Get Rich or Die Tryin rapper is making new music new music with French powerhouse DJ David Guetta. Posted early this morning, 50 Cent captioned a picture of the two of them with "new music on the way."

This surprise collaboration is pretty unheard of for 50, but not for Guetta. Guetta has been working with hip-hop since he first started DJing. Most of the music released early on in his career, including "Nation Rap" with French rapper Sidneu Duteil was hip-hop. Today, David Guetta has been able to bring many different rappers into the pop mainstream on his own tracks. "Memories" with Kid Cudi was a massive crossover hit. He has also worked with artists like Snoop Dogg on the single "Sweat," Ludacris on "Little Bad Girl" and Lil Wayne on the Chris Brown-assisted "I Can Only Imagine." Guetta has collaborated with Nicki Minaj several times including on their recent track "Hey Mama," which was performed last night at the Billboard Music Awards and recently went gold in the United States.

50 Cent has not entered the pop, EDM sphere yet, he has thus far resisted and his image as a man who is true to the streets would normally preclude him from doing so, but recent album sales might force the rapper to consider that move to something more mainstream and radio-friendly.

There isn't any more information on the potential track including what it may be called, release date or a short snippet. Even after releasing his sixth artist album Listen in November, Guetta and his team continue to work on new music.
