Daft Punk doesn't make news often, but when they do, the French robots make it count. The "Around The World" duo has unveiled a brand new line of clothing and merchandise available for purchase through their online store and there is quite a selection. Fans are able to select from a variety of different stickers, shirts and bags as they decide how to best rep Daft Punk.
There are several t-shirts that have been added, including the classic "Daft Punk" logo shirt, as well as a couple new ones, including several different variations of "Get Lucky" shirts and tank tops and a "Give Life Back To Music" t-shirt. There are smaller items like mugs, stickers and posters, including a pretty great "Lose Yourself To Dance" cinematic one themed after their music video. The highlight for many will be the limited edition skateboard, which runs you $280, but for diehards, it will be worth it.
The whole collection has a retro 1970s and 1980s feel, which is the sound of Random Access Memories. Head to Daft Punk's website for details.
Daft Punk has been largely out of the picture since they released their studio album, Random Access Memories, in May 2013. They performed "Get Lucky" at the Grammys in 2014, while also taking home the lions share of the major awards, but have yet to make any major appearances since then. Tour rumors start every once and a while, but until the robots say anything, nothing is really happening.
The pair were two of the original signees for the TIDAL artist agreement and has been in the headlines for that reason, though they have been one of the more silent partners thus far, as one might expect.
