Survived Memorial Day weekend? Good because you have a full summer ahead of you filled with various music events all across the country. Festivals like Lollapalooza, EDC Las Vegas, Bonnaroo and Outside Lands all command attention, but heading to smaller niche ones will be more then enough for a weekend escape. One such festival is Moonrise Festival, formerly known as Starscape, which will feature some of the names in electronic music. The two headliners will be Bassnectar and Above & Beyond, with additional major acts like Porter Robinson, Dillon Francis, The Glitch Mob and Big Gigantic also on the bill.
Sticking to its tradition started at Starscape, the lineup is packed with bass-heavy DJs like Zeds Dead, Yellow Claw, Dabin and others. Additional names on the lineup include dubstep and trap DJs, Ookay, Slander, Brillz, Zomboy and others.
There will be a few live acts like Die Antwoord and Ty Dolla $ign in addition to Porter Robinson performing with his live setup.
The festival will take place Saturday August 8 and Sunday August 9 at the Pimlico Race Course, the home of the Preakness Stakes horse race, in Baltimore. Tickets are on sale now starting at $149 for a GA two-day pass and $225 for VIP.
