Maroon 5 Cancels Liverpool Concert Because of Adam Levine's Vocal Cords

Liverpool fans of Maroon 5, bad news. The "This Summer's Gonna Hurt Like a Motherf*cker" band will not be playing in your town tonight (May 29). In an announcement on Twitter, Maroon 5 frontman and The Voice coach Adam Levine revealed that he won't be able to perform to the best of his ability tonight because his vocal cords are exhausted.

Levine made the concert cancellation announcement on his Twitter, writing this his vocal cords "are toast."

"I am really sorry not to be able to perform tonight, but I have been told to rest up by the doctor. As a band we always want to give every performance our all and sadly I just cannot do that tonight," Levine said in a statement to E! Online.

However, lucky enough for other Maroon 5 fans in the U.K., the band is expected to resume its touring schedule on Sunday (May 31) in Birmingham. The band's U.K. tour will wrap up on Monday, June 1, in Manchester.

Maroon 5 is touring in support of its new album V, which was released in August 2014. The album, which will be re-released this summer, has thus far been supported by top 10 singles "Maps," "Sugar" and "Animals."
