Lauren London Says ‘ATL 2’ Is Not Definite After T.I. Confirms Sequel

Earlier this year, T.I. got fans excited when he confirmed ATL 2. Now, his co-star, Lauren London, has reportedly put a damper on hopes of a sequel saying it's not definite.

During a recent interview with The YBF, the actress referred to the prospective ATL 2 as a "concept."

"It's not definitely in the works," she said. "I don't want to be the spokesperson for it. I don't want people take my word for it. So, no. Right now it is a concept and there's a lot of possibilities with that."

Although she didn't delve into details of the new storyline, London did offer up some suggestions for her character.

"But I would still want New-New's fashion to be...I feel like the character and all her aesthetics should remain important," she said. "Like her hair and her lipgloss, [etc.], I wouldn't want to lose that. Even though she does grow up, I think she should still be funky, fresh and spunky. I would keep that."

T.I. spoke on the sequel to ATL during an interview with Global Grind and confirmed that the entire cast would be returning.

"It's a sequel where everyone's coming back, there isn't any holdouts," he said. "Nobody's saying 'No, I'm not doing it,' regardless of any success they've assumed afterwards or how many other projects they have to work on. Everybody's coming back. And I think that, to me, is a sign of a sequel."

The original film, ATL, starring London alongside Tip, Evan Ross, Big Boi, Jackie Long and Jason Weaver, was released in 2006.

Stay tuned for more updates on a possible sequel to ATL.
