Chinx was laid to rest last month following his murder in Queens, and now word on the Web is the rapper's posthumous debut album will be released in August.
According to XXL, Chinx's Welcome to J.F.K is set to be release on Aug. 14. Back in 2014, he shared the meaning behind the album's title with the hip-hop magazine.
"My album will be titled Welcome to J.F.K.," he said. "Cause my part of Queens is right by the airport so whenever you coming to New York, you gotta come through where I'm from."
Welcome to J.F.K. will be available for preorder on July 17.
In preparation for the release of his album, EOne released the lead single from Welcome To J.F.K called "On Your Body" featuring singer Meet Sims.
Aside from the August release date and the new single, there isn't any other information out on Chinx's debut.
As previously reported, Chinx was killed in a drive-by shooting in Queens early May 17. He was reportedly struck multiple times and his passenger was struck twice in the Porsche Chinx was driving at around 4 a.m. At least seven bullets pierced the front and driver-side windows according to the New York Daily News.
There has been speculation that the fatal shooting may be related to the 2007 shooting death of Stack Bundles.
Chinx's family asked for financial support by setting up a GoFundMe page.
Instead of sending flowers, please consider helping the family fill part of the financial void. Your donations will help provide much needed financial stability to a family who deserves so much more than what they have been dealt. We cannot replace the warmth, charisma, wit, charm, and love that Chinx gave to not only his family, and friends, but also, his fans. We can however, help keep them focused on what really matters, and that is each other.
