Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters were in a sticky situation after the frontman fell from the stage during a show in Gothenburg, Sweden, breaking his leg in the process. That said, the guitarist reassured fans that the show must go on, and the band did just that, with drummer Taylor Hawkins taking over at the fore while Grohl was transported to the hospital.
Grohl played things about as "rock 'n' roll" as usual.
"Now look!" he shouted into the microphone while lying in the photo pit at Ullevi Stadium. "I think I just broke my leg. I think I really broke my leg."
The performer was unusually cool with the situation, and photos of the big screen at the venue show Grohl yapping away into his microphone while a paramedic looks on, half concerned and half amused.
The band confirmed later that the leg was indeed broken, as the official Foo Fighters Twitter account posted a photo of Grohl's X-ray...a solid snap.
No word has been given yet as to how this is going to affect the band's European tour. Grohl and the Foo Fighters are scheduled to appear on Sunday night at the Pinkpop Festival at Landgraaf, Netherlands...but we're waiting on a formal announcement before we place our bets.
