Festival season is in full swing right now in the Northern Hemisphere, with Bonnaroo taking the headlines this weekend in the United States. It is a marathon, not a sprint, to get through one—let alone the whole season—yet the announcements just keep on coming. A new contender has announced itself for the very end of the season—Treasure Island—which will feature some big names across music like deadmau5, The National, Father John Misty, The War On Drugs and many more.
The two-day festival does not have a very large lineup, but it chose quality over quantity with the bookings. There is a little bit of everything on the lineup with some electronic, hip-hop and rock. Gorgon City, Hudson Mohawke, Cashmere Cat, Viceroy—who is performing for the first time ever with a live band—the aforementioned deadmau5, Baio—more famously known as the bassist for Vampire Weekend and STS9—will give electronic music fans their fix. Hip-hop heads will be able to see acts like Shamir, Run The Jewels and Azealia Banks. People there for some indie and rock will get their fill with CHVRCHES, Jose Gonzalez, Viet Cong, Panda Bear, Robyn & La Bagatelle Magique and The National.
Past lineups have included the likes of Major Lazer, Outkast, Zedd, Janelle Monae, Beck, Public Enemy, The xx, Chromeo and others.
The festival takes place on October 17-18. Entering its 9th year presented by Noise Pop and Another Planet Entertainment, the festival will return to Treasure Island, California, just outside of San Francisco.
GA and VIP passes are on sale now starting at $169.50. Head to Treasure island's website to purchase yours now. See the full lineup below.
