Joe Giudice is Filming Reality Show for Bravo Without Jailed Wife Teresa

While Teresa Giudice has always appeared to be the star of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, her husband—Joe Giudice—has certainly managed to grab headlines of his own since she reported to jail last January. His efforts to take care of the couple's four children has been made even more difficult because Joe remains jobless and rather than being on an active hunt for work, he has instead been photographed blowing money with random women by his side. It is anticipated that upon her release in December, Teresa will return to the Bravo reality show that has paid her bills for the last several years and it looks like the network has also thrown Joe a lifeline.

Usually husbands that appear on RHONJ aren't paid but because of the situation, Joe is thought to be a valuable commodity, one that will likely score some great ratings. According to a new report, he "will earn an estimated $150,000 from his own Bravo one-hour special, sources exclusively tell Page Six. And the deal will help Joe and Teresa pay for some of what they owe to the government. The couple was sentenced to jail time and a $400,000 judgment after pleading guilty to multiple counts of bank fraud last year. Teresa's currently serving a 15-month sentence in a Danbury, Conn., federal pen—Joe will serve his 41-month sentence after she's out."

Do you think that Bravo is offering a paycheck to Joe now in the hopes of it helping to secure Teresa later? They know that her family is cash-strapped, so do you think that she views this as them kind of doing her a favor while she is away? Up until her incarceration, Teresa was obviously the family breadwinner and so her kids have got to be feeling the effects of the family's lost income.

Is Bravo smart to feature Joe and the kids on a special? Will you tune in to hear what they all have to say? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
