After years of focusing on being on of the most successful hip-hop entrepreneurs, Puff Daddy, Diddy, Puffy, whatever you wish to call him, made a grand return to music last night at the 2015 BET Awards reuniting most of the Bad Boys Entertainment for a special one night performance. Included in that show was the world premiere of Puff Daddy's new song with Pharrell and the family, titled "Finna Get Loose." With the track buzzing, they have released the track in explicit and clean versions on iTunes and for streaming on Soundcloud.
The track features a vintage Pharrell beat that could have been part of his mid-2000s playbook, perfect for what Puff Daddy is trying to do, while the rapper adds his own bars with the family cooing in the background during the hooks.
Last night "Finna Get Loose" was premiered last night at the BET Awards after a massive roller coaster performance from Bad Boys Entertainment, which featured special guests Lil' Kim, 112, Faith Evans, Ma$e, French Montana and The Lox. Stream the track below and head to iTunes to get the clean and explicit versions.
Diddy is among the artists who have partnered with Apple Music to provide exclusive content for him to help launch the service tomorrow. He is giving them exclusive content and footage from himself and the family, which will be released tomorrow for the launch of the Apple Music platform. It makes sense that this single would be released at the same time as Apple Music since Pharrell is also lending a helping hand to Apple Music as a content partner. The music video for his new track "Freedom," which was premiered over the weekend at Glastonbury, will also be premiered tomorrow through Apple Music.
