Move aside, Lady Gaga and back off Britney, the original pop queen is working on new material. Over the weekend, Madonna announced that her 13th studio album is in the works.
At the opening of her new Hard Candy Gym in Toronto, the 55-year-old singer hinted that she was working on a new album to The Canadian Press (via NME). "Yes, plans are in the works already," she said, though she remained mum on the details. "Don't ask me with who - it's a secret. Top secret."
The new album has no official title, release date or tracks. Because of the discrete nature of the interview, it seems as though the album is just in the beginning stages.
This record will be Madonna's lucky No. 13 studio effort and the follow-up to her 2012 album MDNA. That album featured collaborations with female rappers Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., and the trio performed the album single "Give Me All Your Luvin" at the 2012 Super Bowl.
Rap duo LMFAO also featured on a "Party Rock Remix" of "Give Me All Your Luvin."
