As the festival market becomes more and more competitive, Ultra Music Festival has embarked on an incredibly ambitious expansion plan in 2015. The EDM festival brand has already announced several new events in South America and Asia and over the weekend, unveiled plans for two more one-day shows. The Miami-based EDM live music brand has announced Ultra Philippines and Ultra Singapore festivals, which will take place later this year.
Both events are being booked as part of the ever-growing empire of Ultra Worldwide festivals and as one of the smaller ones; it is just a stop on the way to Ultra - meaning the main event in Miami in March. Ultra Singapore will occur on Sept. 19 at a still to be determined location. Tickets go on sale July 7 at 11 a.m. local time. Then the following weekend, fans can head over the Philippines where a slew of DJs will be performing at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds in Manila on Sept. 26. Tickets go on sale soon. Lineups will be announced for each event soon as well.
These come right smack in the middle of an aggressive late year push by Ultra to host more festivals in Asia and South America including Bolivia, Peru, Paraguay, Thailand, Bali, Macau, Ibiza, Chile and many more.
With this rate of expansion, it is only a matter of time before Ultra breaks hallowed ground and throws the first rave on Antarctica. For now they are trying to have people say "put your hands up" in every language on the planet. Head to Ultra's website for more information and to purchase tickets when the time comes.
