Going through a tragic family matter in the public eye can take a toll on anyone, but even more so if you have to put aside your private struggles and perform in front of a crowd of people. Bobby Brown had a hard time pushing through his Fourth of July concert in Atlanta because of all the struggles he is undergoing with his daughter Bobbi Kristina's health condition.
Brown performed as part of the Affordable Old School Concert Series along with other '90s artist like Mint Condition, Juvenille and Tweet, but he was not exactly in the right mindframe to be performing. He forgot a lot of his lyrics and dance moves and left the stage frequently.
In a video clip posted by TMZ, the former New Edition singer apologized to the crowd, stating, "I am in a different zone right now. If I go somewhere else please join me on the tour because it's gonna be fun." Although he didn't explicitly mention Bobbi Kristina's name, it was obvious that that's what had him off his A game.
Bobbi Kristina has been in a medically induced coma since January and was moved to a hospice in Georgia last month. Bobby Brown vowed to do everything he can to make sure she gets a fair chance at life. There were reports that Bobbi Kristina's photos were being shopped to media outlets by one of her family members, and her aunt, Leolah Brown, wrote a very angry statement concerning the matter. Both TMZ and Entertainment Tonight confirmed that someone tried to sell photos of Bobbi Kristina in her hospice bed but the publications denied the bid.
Brown did his best to win over the crowd and meet his obligations as an entertainer, and they seemed to be very understanding. He performed some of his classic songs like "My Prerogative" and had fans dancing out of their seats.
