Attention Australian members of the Bey Hive: one day soon, you'll be able to live, eat and breathe inside of a 78-story, Beyonce-inspired building in Melbourne.
The planned "Premier Tower" will house plentiful hotel rooms, apartments and retail space and will be constructed at 134 Spencer Street, smack dab in the middle of the city's business district. The "complex" and unique design, referred to as "art and science," manifests shapes and forms inspired by Beyonce's 2013 "Ghost" music video.
Elenberg Fraser, Australian architecture and interior design firm posted a press release to their website regarding the one-of-a-kind Premier Tower. "This project is the culmination of our significant research into how to best work with individual site and climatic constraints, brought together using our new parametric modelling techniques," the site reads.
"The complex form - a vertical cantilever - is actually the most effective way to redistribute the building's mass, giving the best results in terms of structural dispersion, frequency oscillation and wind requirements. Art and science? You betcha. For those more on the art than science side, we will reveal that the form does pay homage to something more aesthetic - we're going to trust you've seen the music video for Beyoncé's 'Ghost'."
The video for "Ghost" premiered alongside 13 other music videos Queen B crafted for her 2013 self-titled album Beyonce. Further information concerning the buildings estimated completion date has not been divulged but one can hope that Bey herself stops by for a personalized opening. Yong Yit Lee took to YouTube last month to post a video to his channel, showcasing countless photos of the building, notes MTV News.
Beyonce has yet to make a statement on the curvaceous building inspired by her video. As of late, the Drunk in Love singer made a cameo in Madonna's "B-tch I'm Madonna" music video and is rumored to participate as a superhero in The Avengers.
