Influential New York City promoter Rob Fernandez has passed away, according to numerous sources on social media. Details remain scarce about the cause of death, but the news was first announced this morning by Verboten, a club in New York City. Fernandez was a noted promoter in NYC who helped shape the way the city dances, throwing parties at clubs all over the city like Pacha NYC, Cielo and starting his own company RPM Presents with Pacha NYC don Eddie Dean.

Fernandez was active in the New York City club scene for years. He worked at Pacha for the better part of a decade, serving as the director of promotion and bookings. He helped develop the strong relationships that the club has with many internationally known DJs around the world. He was also the behind the Dance.Here.Now parties at Cielo with Benny Soto.
