Migos: Pipe It Up
"Recognition" is a more introspective turn for the Atlanta trio, featuring a melancholy piano melody that contrasts from their typical booming trap beats. Quavo begins the record saying, "You know, it feels good when you recognized," and he, followed by Takeoff and Offset, proceeds to reminisce on hard times when there was no rap career in sight.
Take a listen to the track below.
Offset's current incarceration does not seem like it will further affect the release of YRN: Tha Album, scheduled for July 31. Going off the four singles the group has now given us -- "One Time," "Origin," "Pipe It Up" and now "Recognize" -- YRN: Tha Album should be a blend of Migos' famous club crushing anthems and the more emotional content they have began embracing recently.
The YRN tracklist (see below), released last month, shows features from Young Thug and Chris Brown. Though not included on the tracklist, production will be handled from DJ Mustard, Honorable C Note and Zaytoven, who, by the sounds of it, could have played the keys on "Recognition."
