French Montana Talks New Music by Chinx Ahead of 'Welcome To JFK' Album

As fans anticipate the release of Chinx's posthumous album Welcome to JFK, frequent collaborator French Montana recently offered an update on new music to be released from the late rapper.

During a recent appearance on Los Angeles' Power 106, Montana revealed that there is a slew of unheard music by Chinx, as well as a handful of music videos. Montana said he has at least 100 songs with Chinx, on top of at least another 100 songs that the rapper recorded by himself.

"Zack got like 100 songs with him. I got 100 songs with him," he said. "And we still have a couple of videos. His album is coming out — Welcome to JFK. August. It's just a thing that I wanted him to be here for his success. I feel like he was right there. And that was the thing that I'm upset about. But you know God always got a better plan. You can never question his plan. And that's where we at with it."

As previously reported, EOne recently released the lead single from the Chinx's debut album called "On Your Body" featuring singer Meet Sims. The project is set to be released on Aug. 14. Back in 2014, he shared the meaning behind the album's title with hip-hop magazine XXL.

"My album will be titled Welcome to JFK," he said. "Cause my part of Queens is right by the airport so whenever you coming to New York, you gotta come through where I'm from."

Welcome to JFK will be available for pre-order on July 17.

The 31-year-old rapper was killed in a drive-by shooting in Queens early on May 17 at around 4 a.m. He was reportedly struck multiple times.
