This weekend the hip-hop community suffered multiple losses. Yesterday we learned that Chicago emcee and Chief Keef associate Capo was gunned down in a drive by shooting in his hometown. Sources now report that West Coast rapper and founder of the Outlawz, Hussein Fatal, was killed in car accident yesterday. Fatal was a long time associate of the late Tupac Shakur, and was featured on Shakur's All Eyez on Me and Me Against the World albums. Fatal is most remembered for his verse on Shakur's "Hit Em Up," the infamous diss record to the Notorious B.I.G.
The details surrounding the death of 38 year-old Fatal are unknown. However, TMZ reports that remaining Outlawz member Napoleon went to Facebook to remember his friend, writing, "he was my old group member and friend for over 20 years and he will be missed."
Other members went on Twitter to express their grief as well as to inform fans and supporters of a GoFund Me account they could contribute to in effort to cover funeral expenses.
Fatal is survived by former groupmates E.D.I. Mean ,Young Noble and Napolean. The group was most known for their affiliation to Shakur, who was also a memeber of the group before his passing, and featured the members on multiple works prior to his death in 1996.
Fellow artists such as rapper Ja Rule have went on social media to pay their respects to the late rapper. The untimely death of Fatal comes in a series of deaths to plague the hip-hop community as rapper Chinx Drugz was gunned down back in May with his killer still unknown. Our condolensces go out to Fatal's family.
