CeeLo Green 'Robin Williams' Interactive Music Video Leads New Album 'Heart Blanche'

CeeLo Green is back releasing new music, and he's name checking some of Hollywood's fallen heroes in his new single "Robin Williams." Today (July 17), the "Forget You" singer and former Voice coach unveiled an interactive music video for the first track from his new album Heart Blanche, all while singing about laughing the pain away.

Musically, "Robin Williams" pulls from the deceased comedian who died by suicide in August 2014, singing that "We don't know what the next man is going through / Life reminds me of Robin Williams / we've got to laugh the pain away." In addition to the song's title star, Green also calls out to other legendary funnymen gone too soon from Richard Pryor to Chris Farley to Phil Hartman.

Alongside the new single, Green dropped an interactive music video tapping into Google's search functions. The visual for "Robin Williams" also acts as a lyric video; each lyric is typed into a Google search box with real time results for the phrases popping up on viewers' screens.

The interactive portion of the music video comes from Google's different search categories. The lyrics can either be displayed by Web, Images, Shopping or Videos and viewers can click between the four categories to engage in the video.

"Robin Williams" is the first single from Green's new album Heart Blanche, due out later this year. Heart Blanche will act as the first new release from the R&B singer since he made waves last year on Twitter for controversial comments about rape.
