When it rains, it pours.
We're sure CeeLo Green has learned his lesson on what not to say on social media. The rapper has been removed from another festival bill, according to XXL.
The magazine's site reports on Wednesday (Sept. 10), Mobile Bayfest CEO Bobby Bostwick issued a statement announcing that the former The Voice judge's Oct. 4 performance had been canceled. According to the statement, Cee-Lo's comments do not match up with beliefs of the music festival.
This marks the third festival he has been asked to step down from following his insensitive comments regarding rape. Last week he was dropped from Louisiana's Gretna Heritage Festival and the Freedom LIVE Festival in D.C.
Following his sentencing stemming from a 2012 incident during which he allegedly gave a woman ecstasy without her consent, Green made some pretty outlandish comments on Twitter as he felt the need to defend himself to the public.
He responded to a few tweets and offered up some bizarre responses, which he promptly deleted soon after.
"If someone is passed out they're not even WITH you consciously," Green tweeted.
He went on to question the validity of the accusations noting that there was metaphorical "no broken glass" to prove the charges. He added, "People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!"
Green then posed a question of his own for his Twitter hecklers, "So if I TRIED but did NOT succeed but the person said I DID then what really happened?"
He later deleted his Twitter account and then reinstated in to apologize, sort of.
"I truly and deeply apologize for the comments attributed to me on Twitter. Those comments were idiotic, untrue and not what I believe," he said on the social media site.
Not long after posting the tweets, Green also lost his reality show The Good Life on TBS.
