Major Lazer, MØ Cover Frank Ocean's 'Lost' [LISTEN]

The dynamite combination of Major Lazer and has struck again. Still riding on the worldwide success of their hit Peace Is The Mission single, "Lean On," the two parties team up for a reggae cover of Frank Ocean's Channel Orange track "Lost."

Major Lazer flips the funky, jazzy beat from the original on its head into something straight from the islands from which they draw their influences. They manage to keep much of the soul of the original, but flip the beat into a half-time reggae beat with horns and eclectic percussion. MØ croons out Frank Ocean's vocals with remarkable deftness - a feat that shouldn't be understated given Ocean's talent as a singer, songwriter.

The cover is free, so stream and download it below.

Fans have been waiting for new Frank Ocean music ever since he exploded into the public eye with his critically acclaimed album Channel Orange in 2012. He has released snippets of new music here and there, but a new album, titled Boys Don't Cry, has remained elusive for his fans.

Major Lazer and MØ are still riding the wave of success stemming from their hit single "Lean On" with DJ Snake. The track has been the most streamed song in the world on Spotify pretty consistently since it was released on March 2. It has steadily risen up the charts and finally cracked the top 10 in the United States - a fitting accolade for what is a strong contender for song of the summer.

Though this cover does not mean new Frank Ocean music, fans of Major Lazer, MØ and Ocean should all enjoy this cover.
