Kendrick Lamar's leaked verse for Frank Ocean's "Nights" has set social media abuzz.

"Nights" is the ninth song on Ocean's album, "Blonde," released in 2016. It is recognized as the pivotal "middle piece" of the album, featuring a memorable song transition that has gained significant popularity on various social platforms. This transition occurs precisely at the 30-minute mark, marking the halfway point of the entire album.

The previously unreleased Kendrick Lamar verse -- which surfaced on Reddit and X, formerly Twitter -- has people speculating about its origins and its possible impact on the song's R&B vibe. There are theories on social media that Lamar's verse might have been intended for his own project before it made its way to Ocean. Music Times could not independently verify the authenticity of the snippet.

So far, neither Ocean nor Lamar has responded to the leak. However, fans had mixed reactions to Lamar's verse, expressing a range of opinions.

One person wrote on Reddit, "Damn, this verse is actually fire, but I'm still glad the OG song is [without] it. 'Nights' is a 10/10 song as it is."

"Is this flow common for Kendrick? Am I f**kin' trippin' or does he sound like he's going for an André 3000 vibe[?]" another wrote. "[But] for real goddamn 'Nights' is a masterpiece. Lotta memories made to that joint as the soundtrack."

"Don't really like it," a third declared. "I can tells it's a super rough draft, but it's obvious Kendrick doesn't really fit the song [in my opinion]."

"Feels like a good decision was made to not release this. It's obviously a rough draft and I'm sure they would have dialed it in and got it sounding great," a fourth person commented, and a fifth opined, "Wow, that's terrible. Kendrick would have f**ked up the song's vibe if that came out."

Meanwhile, on X, @Odyssey_Musik said, "Thank Jesus Frank didn't release this."

User @tyxhndrxx asked, "[What the f**k is this[?] .. Can't be the man that made not like us," while @OkekeNzube17 wrote, "Kendrick fans said he's versatile LMAO."

"This is really really good, the voice inflections, [adlibs]. But I like the original version as is. If this released as a remix, I would have been okay with that," @DevonKW_ commented.

X user @yyoungsucio added, "i really hope this is fake, that would've completely ruined the song."

The lack of an official release for the version of "Nights" with Lamar remains shrouded in mystery.
