Say what you will about Miley Cyrus' controversial Bangerz Tour, but the 21-year-old singer can bring out some pretty cool covers and guests. At her Anaheim, Calif., stop the "Adore You" singer brought out mutual musicians/fans Wayne Coyne and Steven Drozd for a cover of The Flaming Lips' "Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots Pt. 1."
"I hope I inspire you guys as much as The Flaming Lips have inspired me and encouraged me to always be myself and make music because I love it and always do something new for my fans," Cyrus told the massive crowd before Coyne and Drozd came onstage donning a giant "F*** YEAH" balloon.
The trio then tackled The Flaming Lips' classic "Yoshimi," with Coyne and Cyrus perfectly trading off vocals in the verses and collaborating on the acoustic-driven chorus. The result is shockingly solid.

The performance isn't just a milestone for Flaming Lips fan Miley Cyrus, but also for the psychedelic rockers themselves. The Bangerz Tour performance came on The Flaming Lips' exact 30th anniversary of its first live show.
Coyne is also a marked fan of Cyrus'. On his official Twitter, the eccentric frontman frequently interacts with Cyrus and her Smilers fanbase, frequently retweeting Cyrus-inspired art and tweeting at her.
