Ariana Grande Ari Fragrance Arriving in September

It's a big week for pop star fragrances with both Katy Perry and Rihanna unveiling new scents, and now Ariana Grande is getting in on the perfume game. Today (July 23), the "One Last Time" singer announced her first eau de parfum, Ari.

Word of an Ariana Grande perfume first arrived in February, when she announced that she would be rolling out a scent in September with Luxe Brands. Now, that release date has become a concrete reality with Ari, which Grande revealed in an Instagram video.

"It smells like a dream," Grande says in the quick clip, which features old-timey music and an image of what the bottle will look like. Ari will be packaged in a hexagon bottle, and it's pretty rose-colored perfume will be capped off with a rose gold topper and a big white puff ball. The name, of course, comes from Grande's nickname (much like Rihanna's RiRi).

Ari by Ariana Grande has yet to be fully detailed, though the fragrance's official website claims that it will be available in "key markets" beginning in September. There's also a little insight into what Ari smells like. Calling the perfume "luscious" and "sexy," the website says that Ari features scents of sparkling fruits, feminine florals, musks, woods and an "addictive hint of marshmellow."

Fans can also expect the scent to be 100 percent Ariana. When she first announced her intentions to create a perfume, she said she aimed to make her own "personal fragrance."

"I have always been obsessed with perfume. I always carried like six different scents in my bag, another three in my suitcase and another couple in my car," Grande said. "I'm asked so often about which fragrance I'm wearing, or if I have a signature scent. I do have favorites, but I really want to create something that encompasses everything I love... which is why I am so excited to create my personal fragrance I can call my own."
