Three days after being barred from leaving the Philippines, Chris Brown is finally free to go. After being held in the country due to a cancelled New Year's Eve concert and a "contract dispute," the issue was resolved and the "B*tches and Marijuana" singer left for Hong Kong.
Brown left the Philippines on Friday (July 24) at 9:30 p.m. local time, CNN reports. It's unclear whether or not the contract dispute was resolved or what the exact terms of Brown being able to leave the country were.
He was being held in the country after a concert earlier this week due to a cancelled New Year's Eve performance. Back in December 2014, Brown had to cancel a show in Manilla, Philippines, because of a "lost passport" just hours before he was due to perform. Though the show earlier this week was reportedly a make up date, the promoters still wanted their money back from Brown.
Before leaving the country, Brown tweeted about his situation. In the since-deleted messages, the R&B star claimed that he had nothing to do with the contract dispute and had done nothing wrong.
"This is a very serious situation and someone needs to be held accountable for mixing my name up in all this. I've done nothing wrong!!!" Brown tweeted. "I have nothing to do with anything going on right now. I came back to Manila to do a make up show for New Years."
Brown's hold in the Philippines is just the latest travel issue to affect the singer as he promotes his new album X. He was forced to delay the start of his Between the Sheets Tour with Tyga and Trey Songz so he could finish community service. Brown was also unable to gain entrance into Canada earlier this year because of his past legal issues.
