Funkmaster Flex Petition Hits the Web After Meek Mill Dis Track Is Scrapped

Last night when the clock struck 7 p.m., any and every hip-hop enthusiasts were glued to their radios waiting on DJ Funkmaster Flex to debut Meek Mill's response to Drake's "Charged Up" track. However, after waiting hour after hour listening to Flex's pre-set mix, listeners were completely irate when they finally realized there would be no diss track, which DJ Bran (Mill's tour DJ) confirmed via Twitter. But fans weren't having it and soon began to spout slander against Flex, and one insistent follower even started a petition to have Flex step down from his post at Hot 97.

The shockwave and anger that came from listeners and those online was epic. Since last week, the radio king pin had been been instigating the situation between Mill and Drake, adding fuel to the fire by releasing the reference track of "10 Bands" by Drake's alleged ghostwriter, Quentin Miller.

Shortly thereafter, Flex claimed to have more in his arsenal, suggesting he would drop the reference track for Mill and Drake's joint collaboration, "R.I.C.O.," which was supposed to air Monday night (July 27) but never came to be after Mill was a no show. The lack of new music resulted in all types of memes discrediting the radio legend.

Although we're not quite sure what happened and why Mill never sent the diss track to Flex after he allegedly verbally committed to do so, but it seems as though the Dreams Worth More Than Money rapper had a change of heart.

In the meantime, check out funny memes and petition aimed at Flex.
