The internet has been LIVE with the Drake vs Meek Mill talk after the Toronto rapper went straight for the jugular with his new diss track "Back To Back." Meek Mill is currently on "The Pinkprint Tour" with his boo Nicki Minaj and has not had the time or the wherewithal to respond to Drake's first diss, which left his flank exposed for the dagger today. However, the Dreams Worth More Than Money rapper is claiming that he will have something ready soon, saying in an Instagram post with a picture of him holding a healthy stack of cash that right now he is making some more of those fat stacks, but "Ima b in the studio soon." He does not neglect to mention that he is on Drake's home turf of Canada, although he does have a five-hour ride to get to their next destination which is plenty of time to start a diss track.
The beef went nuclear today after Drake released his new diss track "Back To Back," referencing the fact he has ethered Mill twice in a row without any response from the Philadelphia rapper. In the track, Drake mentions Minaj and her role as the dominant artist in the relationship, rapping, "You love her then you gotta get a world tour / Is that world tour or your girl's tour?"
He then goes after Mill for not writing a track in response and instead only responding on Twitter, "Trigger fingers turn to Twitter fingers / You gettin' bodied by a singin' n*gga."
The cover of the track is the icing on the cake: the moment the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Phillies in the World Series during the 1993 season.
We await the moment when Mill actually hops in the studio and records that diss track. Hopefully it isn't too late....
