Chief Keef just dropped "Superheroes" featuring A$AP Rocky and it is sure to be a highlight off his upcoming album Bang 3 and you can listen to it here.
It's taken over a year for the long-awaited Rocky/Sosa collaboration to finally surface. Last summer, Keef took us behind the scenes of a music video (to this song) he was shooting with Rocky. That video hasn't yet surfaced, and the collaboration didn't appear on any of the three mixtapes Keef has since released.
Bang 3 was originally supposed to be released in March 2014 and has since been delayed several times. The album was indefinitely put on hold last October after Keef was dropped from Interscope Records. This June, Keef signed with billionaire Alki David and his company FilmOn TV. Soon after, he announced his plans to go ahead with Bang 3, giving the album an August 18 release date, which will hopefully stick.
As we approach the release, it looks like "Superheroes" will be the album's latest single, following "Ain't Missing You."
Over a booming trap beat with spooky samples, Sosa compares himself to all our favorite superheroes:
"By myself 'cuz these n*ggas yes men / B*tch I'm almighty Sosa Batman / Know I got my illegal weapon / I'm off this earth I feel like Superman / Cocky like He-Man, cut like Wolverine / Come through yo' block like Green Goblin / Wetting sh*t up Spiderman"
Flacko comes through for the slick final verse, in which he calls himself "Wolverine in skinny jeans."
Keef has recently started feuding with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who has barred him from putting on a fundraising concert for the families of his Glo Gang crewmember Capo and one-year-old Dillan Harris, both killed in the same incident. His latest attempt to perform via hologram at Craze Fest was shut down minutes into the performance.
His discontent with Emanuel has since prompted him to announce his own candidacy for Mayor of Chicago. Perhaps this should be his campaign song.
