Brad Paisley received the Distinguished West Virginian Award

After finishing up his Best This Winter Tour, Brad Paisley was presented with the Distinguished West Virginian Award by Senate President Jeff Kessler and Michael Lipton, the Director of the West Virginia Music Hall of Fame. The award was created to honor those who have "contributed significantly to West Virginia or West Virginians and have brought positive attention to the state." It honors those who "excel in their field and have achieved national recognition." The Distinguished West Virginian Award is the highest honor that can be awarded by the Governor of the state.

The country crooner won't be taking a long break from the road. He'll be heading to Europe for the C2C festival in Dublin, Ireland on March 15, followed by a trip to London, England on March 16. After that, he has dates scheduled in Stavanger and Oslo, Norway, followed by Gotenberg and Stockholm, Sweden. He'll return home to the U.S. on March 26, 2014.
