Panda Bear, aka Noah Lennox, is back with a new EP, Crosswords, which follows the release of January's Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper, his highly-acclaimed fourth studio album. The Crosswords stream comes months ahead of the EP's November 13 physical release. The EP includes a new single, "No Mans Land," which was premiered today by Zane Lowe on Beats1 radio. The track has a balearic, tropical feel with birdlike chirping sounds, a dancey drum beat and Lennox's signature distant but soothing vocals. "No Mans Land" also comes with a visual, an animation of the EP's cover art -- watch and listen below.
In addition to "No Mans Land," the 5-track EP includes reworks of songs from past releases and those that never landed on an official project. "Crosswords," which appeared on Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper, is given an updated "EP Mix" and there is a full version "The Preakness," a demo of which was included on Panda Bear's 2011 album, Tomboy. The tracks "Cosplay" and "Jabberwocky" have surfaced in various qualities on the web and have both been staples in Panda Bear's live sets.
Crosswords EP Tracklist:
01. Crosswords (EP Mix)
