Halloween is about to descend on the United States in just about two months and as the night gets spooky, the kids will get out to party. In Houston, thousands will head to Sam Houston Race Park for Disco Donnie Presents and Nightculture's Something Wicked to celebrate Halloween - except the weekend before. The two-day EDM festival will bring in some big name international and American acts like Above & Beyond, DJ Snake, Steve Aoki and Jack Ü to headline.
Also included in the lineup is a mixture of mainstage headliners such as W&W, Tritonal, TJR or Cash Cash with big name "underground" acts like Green Velvet, Adam Beyer, Tchami and Claptone.
The lineup doesn't just blow all of its budget on a few big acts - it also goes a little deeper with some of their selections. Pulling from across the electronic music spectrum, DJs like Mr. Belt & Wezol, Lane 8, Rezz, Slander, Snails, Wiwek, Botnek, Jay Hardaway and Lookas will all be there to rock the house presumably during the earlier time slots.
Something Wicked will host Drumcode to curate its own stage, led by label don Adam Beyer, alongside some of his premiere signings like Ida Engberg and Alan Fitzpatrick, plus Green Velvet.
The festival will take place on Oct. 24-25 at the Same Houston Race Park on the Northern outskirts of Houston.
"Coupled with the prominence of the artist lineup, Sam Houston Race Park will be transformed into a mysterious and magical Halloween landscape complete with winning stage production, costumed performers, a Beatport stage, plus other newly-developed Halloween-inspired attractions to surprise our fans," says Disco Donnie Presents founder and CEO Disco Donnie.
