As previously reported, Chipotle has filed a lawsuit against Frank Ocean for backing out of his advertisement campaign with them. The company then hired Fiona Apple to cover "Pure Imagination" for the recent ad instead. Ocean apparently dropped out after seeing the final cut of the commercial, and Chipotle sued the singer for breach of contract and a repayment of his $212,500 advance.
As Consequence of Sound points out, Ocean responded to the lawsuit initially with a post on his Tumblr simply linking to the Wikipedia page for "Defamation." Now a second post has surfaced with a photo copy of a cashiers check made out to Chipotle. The amount covers his advance, but if you look at the memo section, it's obvious that Ocean wasn't pleased with the situation.
In other Frank Ocean news, the singer's collaboration with The Clash and Diplo, "Hero," dropped yesterday. Check it out here, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!
