Taylor Swift's 1989 world tour made a stop in Texas Wednesday night where rapper Wiz Khalifa joined the pop star for a duet of his chart topping hit single, "See You Again."
Upon introducing the "Roll Up" rapper to the stage, Swift explained to the Minute Maid Park audience that she's "obsessed" with Khalifa adding, "He's so incredibly talented and when he came out a few years ago it was so undeniable. He's known for just being a good guy, a good person and having incredible music," notes NME. The "Bad Blood" singer took over the song's chorus, originally tackled by Charlie Pluth as sparks flew behind the two, literally.
The 28-year-old Taylor Gang rapper now sits on a long list of pop culture phenomenons who have joined the "Blank Space" singer on her world tour including Lisa Kudrow, Beck, St. Vincent, Alanis Morissette, Justin Timberlake, Uzo Aduba, the U.S. women's soccer team and Avril Lavigne.
The two ended their performance with a precious embrace that had every fan in the audience wishing they were sandwiched in between the two music icons. Khalifa rocked his usual, laid-back style with white jeans, blue vans and a button down shirt while Swift sported a navy sequined leotard and her signature red lipstick, the Daily Mail reports.
The "Wildest Dreams" singer took to Instagram to further praise her Texas gig companion with a picture of their warm embrace, captioned, "One of the sweetest and most talented people I've ever met."
As of late, the 25-year-old has surpassed selfie queen Kim Kardashian with the most followers on Instagram, reeling in over 45.7 million. Before Swift stole the show, Kardashian sat at 45.6 million followers, stealing the title from her predecessor, Beyonce. Instagram's most popular account holder has yet to comment on her new found title.
The hug between them is so precious! @wizkhalifa @taylorswift13
