'RHONJ' Teresa Guidice Will be Checking in From Prison for New Bravo Special

Teresa Guidice has faced some major legal issues in the past year stemming from fraud charges that landed her in prison to serve a 15 month sentence. Her role on the Bravo reality series Real Housewives of New Jersey allowed viewers to watch what happened as she and husband Joe Guidice were sentenced and given their indivual time to serve in prison for their crimes. But that doesn't mean that Guidace has stepped away from her days as a reality star. Even from behind prison walls, Guidice is still a part of the Bravo reality empire and will be featured in a new TV special The Real Housewives of New Jersey Teresa Checks In in October.

NJ.com reported that Guidice, who is currently completing her sentence in a Danbury, Connecticut, federal institute, has signed on to complete a three-part special for Bravo that will allow fans to see how she's doing and how she still runs her household even from in prison.

Her husband spoke on her role as the matriarch of the Guidice family, telling reporters "It's amazing how she still controls everything from in there, you know what I mean?"

The show will follow Joe and the four Guidace daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana as he tries to manage the household in her absence and deal with issues pertaining to his deportation.

In a staggered sentencing, district court judge Esther Salas determined that both parents would serve separate prison sentences at different times so that one parent would be available to care for their children. If and when husband Joe does get deported somehow Teresa will have to financially provide for their girls. Creator of the Real Housewives franchise, Andy Cohen, already has a solution to keep the money flowing in for the Guidice family.

E! Online reported that Cohen has been in constant communication with the former RHONJ star by email. Cohen was added to Guidice approved email list back in June, and the two have been working together on the upcoming three-part mini series set to air Sunday Oct. 11 at 8 p.m on Bravo.

Cohen explained that his hopes are to get her back in front of the camera when she is released but in the meantime fans will be able to check in with Guidice on the TV special.
