If you have ever felt like you were invisible because you're not like everyone else, Hunter Hayes knows how you feel. If you've ever been in a situation where you hurt so badly that you wish you could be invisible, Hunter Hayes knows how you feel too. He knows that you can be lonely in a crowded room and you can feel such misery that you wish you could just disappear. And on his new music video for "Invisible," he shows just how much he "gets it." He explained, saying, "I was a total geek, I was a total nerd and I just didn’t have a place. I still am both of those things and I’m proud of that, but it took me a while to realize it’s okay to be proud of that."
The video, directed by Ray Kay, shows people in different situations where they fade from sight into the state of alone and invisible and it shares that there is so much more to life than what you're feeling right now. One day, the pains of yesterday will be faded from sight so much that they're invisible themselves.
One of the stories in the vid is a little boy who is hungry, but finds nothing but an empty refrigerator and a pizza box with nothing more than crumbs. The scene was included to draw awareness to child hunger, something Hayes is passionate about. Every download of "Invisible" on iTunes will donate the equivalent of one meal to Feeding America for up to 1 million meals.
Great video, great song, great guy - and no matter how often he may have felt invisible in the past, Hunter Hayes is sure shining like a bright star now.
