Thomas Rhett released a new music video Friday (September 18) for the single "Die A Happy Man" off his forthcoming album Tangled Up out September 25, staring the country star and his wife, Lauren, gallivanting around Hawaii.
The video is similar to his previously released video for "Vacation" which also features Rhett and his wife enjoying the water and other activities Hawaii has to offer. However, in "Die A Happy Man" the tone is completely different.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Rhett explained that Lauren wanted him to write a song for her in the style of Tim McGraw's "Just To See You Smile," and so he did.
"I've been somewhat getting crap my entire career from my wife saying, 'When are you going to write a sweet song about me and put it on a record?'" Rhett said in an interview with Rolling Stone. "'Die a Happy Man' is the most honest song I've ever written about my wife. It really replicates our relationship with each other and our love for each other, so I think it will be really fun and exciting for people to see that side of me, because I've never really done that before."
The shots in the video are romantic featuring the two taking walks down the beach, riding horses, showering in their bathing suits, sharing underwater kisses and just loving each other. They even revisit the spot in which they honeymooned back in 2012.
Rhett told People that his wife usually shuns the spotlight, but made an exception for this video since it was written about her.
Rhett has a number of songs released from his album including "I Feel Good," "T-Shirt" and "Crash And Burn" as well as the aforementioned "Vacation." You can watch the romantic ballad below and be on the lookout for his album Tangled Up out September 25.
