MS MR tour van robbed, leaving second album, tour in limbo

Indie rockers MS MR's second album may be in jeopardy. Last night (March 18), the band's tour van was robbed in Miami, with the thieves stealing the band's equipment and laptop, which contained the entire MS MR catalogue.

According to the band's Twitter, @msmrsounds, and Idolator, MS MR notified its 33,000 followers at 1:15 a.m. this morning that its van had been compromised. "Miami out van just got robbed!!! anyone happens across any musical gear near Miami beach, plz let us/police know. Will post a list soon," the message read.

Soon after the official band Twitter sent out its message, MS MR vocalist Lizzy Plapinger highlighted the seriousness of the situation on her own account and noted this was not the first time the band's things have been stolen.

"Last night @msmrsounds was robbed for the 3rd time. EVERYTHING was taken. Including my computer w ALL my lyrics, every piece of music I've ever written, my iTunes, photosm all working lists/folders for album II... everything is gone," she wrote in a series of tweets. "I feel like part of me is lost forever and I don't even know hot to begin to start moving forward and start over."

This leaves the band's second album in limbo. MS MR's second album in limbo. The band released its debut album, Secondhand Rapture in May 2013. The future of its tour with is also in the air. MS MR was set to hit the road with Grouplove starting March 26 in New York City.
