Childish Gambino Covers Tamia 'So Into You' On Triple J

Childish Gambino, known to many as by his real name Donald Glover, is known for his many talents as an actor, rapper and singer. He put his talents as a singer to the test recently when he linked up with Triple J to cover Tamia's 1998 classic "So Into You" live in the studio for their "Like A Version" series.

Gambino takes the track and makes it his own, laying down sensual and soulful cover with a live guitarist, keyboard and backup singers. Gambino really goes for it in this version hitting the high notes and probably (definetley) wooing everyone who watches it.

He takes on the original as opposed to the Fabolous version that dropped two years later in 2000.

He explains that it was one of those songs that he loved when he was young it has been a favorite of several girls he has dated.

Gambino has been getting back in the news lately for a few different music related things, not his movies, which have been coming out at a pretty steady clip.

He was reportedly booed off stage in Newcastle, Australia after not uttering a word for nearly 40 minutes of an hour-long show. The crowd became unenthused by the lack of performance and ushered him off the stage with a chorus of boos after a little over an hour.

A video was apparently leaked of his 2012 collaboration alongside Das Racist rapper Heem "Tell Me," which features both rappers in a building surrounded by party favors, women and booze.

This new cover should placate Gambino fans for a short time while they await new music. He premiered a new song at Bonnarro and there are rumblings of an album in the works, but with his busy schedule, you never know when something might be completed or released.
