Beach House Full-Length LP 'Thank Your Lucky Stars' Release Following 'Depression Cherry'

Beach House, the dream pop band from lead vocalist Victoria Legrand and multi-instrumentalist Alex Scally, came out with its fifth record Depression Cherry back in late August, but the duo isn't done for 2015 yet. They announced today another surprise full-length LP titled Thank Your Lucky Stars, set for release next week on Oct. 16.

"Surprise album" is a term Beach House is adamantly against, as the duo made abundantly clear on Twitter Wednesday evening.

"Just becuz we didn't send the record to press 6 months before its release does not make it a surprise," Beach House said on Twitter. "Fans/press hear it at the same time."

Whether fans and critics denote it as a surprise album or not, it's certainly a welcomed revelation of something we did not know about previously.

Beach House clarified on Twitter that this is not some collection of B-sides or thrown away songs they are releasing for fun, it's the official 7th full-length LP from the band via Sub Pop, Mistletone and Bella Union.

Stereogum first reported some strange Easter egg activity on the bands official website, including new studio photos and a new website URL switching from depressioncherry.com to dcandtyls.com. We now know TYLS stands for the album's title Thank Your Lucky Stars.

When visiting the lyric pages for Depression Cherry tracks, your cursor will also turn into an "X," and if you press that button on your keyboard you'll get redacted lyrics highlighting certain words and new pictures.

Thankfully, the Internet has uncovered what appear to be all the secrets on the site including the tracklist and lyric sheets for each song on Thank Your Lucky Stars, linked below.

01 "Marjorette"
02 "She's So Lovely"
03 "All Your Yeahs"
04 "One Thing"
05 "Common Girl"
06 "The Traveller"
07 "Elegy To The Void"
08 "Rough Song"
09 "Somewhere Tonight"

"We only wanted to release a record In a new way after doing it one way for so long, not a dis or manifesto of any kind, just experimentin'," the band said on Twitter.

Check out some fan footage (starting at 3:10) of a concert Beach House played back in 2012 that matches up with the lyrics to "One Thing."
