Stream YACHT Album 'I Thought The Future Would Be Cooler' Ahead Of Release, Tour

Los-Angeles-based synth-pop band YACHT have made their new album I Thought The Future Would Be Cooler available for streaming ahead of its release this Friday on Downtown Records. The group is will also kick off a month-long North American and European tour next week.

The group has made their album available to stream in full via iTunes first play. The sixth studio album from Jona Bechtolt and Claire L. Evans, I Thought The Future Would Be Cooler is another quality LP from the duo with its textured melodies, upbeat synth harmonies and danceable rhythms. The 11-track LP will be released in full this Friday on Oct. 16.

YACHT will kick off their tour this weekend on Oct. 17 in San Francisco, followed by a slew of West Coast dates that precedes several East Coast gigs, including a sold out show in Brooklyn at Rough Trade. Larry Gus will join them along the U.S leg of the tour. They will then head over to Europe in November for shows in Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, Gent and elsewhere.
