The battle between living football legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo might have come to an end in 2015 - well, just in one competition. Ronaldo has won the Golden Boot Award this year, marking his fourth win of the coveted trophy and accolade, which is actually a new record! All we can say is that Argentina and FC Barcelona goal-scorer Messi only has three, so that's worth adding to the argument, but the Portuguese star of Real Madrid isn't satisfied with his latest award. He wants to score more goals and win a fifth and sixth Golden Boot!

"What a special moment in my professional life! Winning four Golden Boots it's a privilege for me and I'll keep challenging myself because I wanna do better everytime and I wanna keep chasing for more records," the 30-year-old footballer said in a message to his fans on his official Facebook page. "I have to thank everyone in Real Madrid that made this possible and we wanna keep winning more titles and more trophies. Thank you everyone." [sic]
Presented with the trophy by Madrid president Florentino Perez, Ronaldo accepted the award with a moving speech that let us all know that he's not slowing down any time soon.
