Dej Loaf's former girlfriend is claiming her and Lil Durk faked a relationship for publicity, and things seem to be getting stickier and stickier. Over the past few months, fans have witnessed the ongoing flirtation between And See That's The Thing rapper Loaf and fellow emcee Durk. According to Angeleah Speights, aka Aye Redd, Durk and Loaf's public affections and supposedly blossoming romance were purely to garner press.
In a post seemingly aimed at former girlfriend Loaf, and alleged new beau Durk, Speights took to Instagram making subtle jabs about "people" not being true to themselves.
Although she said no names, most assumed that she was speaking about Loaf. The "Back Up" rapper must have received the message loud and clear, because shortly thereafter she put up her own message in response to Speight's accusations.
However, according to Speights in a recent interview with Bossip, the post (that has since then been removed) wasn't about the 2015 XXL Freshman pick at all. She maintains that the two are on good terms and spent last weekend at the 2015 BET Hip-Hop Awards together.
She did, however, approach the topic of Loaf's new reported romance with Durk insisting, "They're not together they're not a couple. They don't f**k around at all. I think they're trying to make it seem like they're together. I don't know what it is but it's fake."
In Flex We Trust also reveals that the ladies ended up calling it quits back in the spring, citing cheating as the reason. Supposedly, "Dej cheated on her with her stylist, and after a few months apart Dej reached out to reconcile."
Chicago rapper Durk's former dalliances aren't taking it lightly either, as one of the women that he previously had relations with posted her own snide remarks directed at the couple.
Looks like no one is particularly happy about the two joining forces. Was it all a publicity stunt after all?
