A Miami/Fort Lauderdale area news station is reporting that Atlanta hip-hop trio Migos was involved in a shootout on a Florida highway.
According to 7 News, the Florida Highway Patrol says the group was involved in an early Friday morning shooting on Interstate 95.
FHP trooper Joe Sanchez told a reporter that the group was heading back to their hotel from a local nightclub when shots were fired.
"They were supposed to be performing at Cafe Iguanas in Broward and apparently, for whatever reason, there was an altercation or disagreement with management, and they didn't perform," Sanchez said. "So as they were driving southbound on I-95, according to the witnesses in the van, a dark vehicle pulled alongside them and opened fire. A member of the group was in possession of his personal handgun, and he returned fire."
Reports say one person was injured in the shooting and they were immediately taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital.
HiphopDX reported that the injured person was a member of Migos, however, 7 News reports that authorities have said the victim may be a member of the hip-hop group or a part of their entourage.
The victim was reportedly shot in the leg.
On the other hand, TMZ says there are reports that the group's bodyguard was the shooting victim.
The site also reports that the Migos' manager said no one on the van was injured. He says "there was at least 40 rounds being blasted."
The group's members have been tweeting about the incident and retweeting reports.
