James Harden is playing with fire again. The NBA superstar posted a picture on his Instagram of him doing the cooking dance with the caption "7days until the cook is back to work" and Lil B is not happy. Harden has never given credit to the Based God for his dance and because of that, the curse that was bestowed on Harden last season, but listed this summer, is back on.
Speaking to TMZ Sports, Lil B derided Harden's lack of respect for him and his dance and made the curse official once again.
"The curse is officially back active," he said. "It's disgusting. He's still in denial. He will pay for the blatant disrespect and no honor to the originator. All he has to do is show love. Harden has gone too far this time."
Having the curse back on is the last thing James Harden needs right now, dealing with issues in his very public personal life and the start of the NBA season in just one week.
The history of James Harden and Lil B extends back to the 2015 NBA Western Conference Championship, when Lil B, a diehard Golden State Warriors fan, bestowed his blessing on Steph Curry and the squad, while also throwing a curse on Harden for unauthorized use of his cheffing dance. Harden dismissed the curse, which like quicksand, only made it worse. Some of the games were close, but the Warriors, dispatched the Houston Rockets in five games.
The curse was lifted over the summer, but now unfortunately for Harden and his Rockets it is back. Someone at the organization needs to get him to apologize and disown that dance. The rest of the NBA should do their TYBG prayers tonight.
