Russell Crowe and Fallon

After co-founding and fronting the band, 30 Odd Foot of Grunts and singing in "Les Miserables," one would think that Russell Crowe has a great singing voice.

His visit with Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show" last week to talk about his new movie, Noah, made some say that isn't the case after hearing him sing "Folsom Prison Blues" - a song he introduced as an "old Australian Folk song" to much laughter.

To be fair, some fans adored his performance and not all made snarky comments. There were a few moments where one can almost hear Randy Jackson saying, "that's a little pitchy dawg," but Crowe sang with passion, heart and plenty of gusto, obviously having a great time. He's no Johnny Cash, but then again, no one can truly top the man in black.
