Morrissey Says Seal-Killing Canadian Fisheries Minister Gail Shea Is "78% Pork Girth"

Outspoken animal activist, Morrissey, is at it again with a brutal new post to his fan site, True To You; this time reigniting his scorn for the recently defeated Canadian Fisheries Minister Gail Shea and commenting on her "78% pork girth."

Last April, Moz lashed out at Shea for her role in the killing of thousands of baby seals who were depleting the Canadian fish supply in what they felt was a humane fashion, referring to the practice as "greedy and barbaric." A spokesperson of Shea's had fired back at Morrissey, saying he was "a millionaire celebrity, desperate for a hobby."

The latest post, which is titled "Gail Shea is in search of a new hobby," reads " [Gail Shea] is herself being 'culled' on Monday as the federal elections show her support dramatically diminished against that of her main opponent (Bobby Morrissey, would you believe). Since Gail Shea thinks it is morally correct of Canada to dispense with unwanted beings by slicing their heads open with an axe, hopefully this same fate will happen to Shea, although given her 78% pork girth it could take nine wielding axemen and at least six daylight hours to finish her off. It shall be worth the wait for all of us."

Ironically enough, conservative Egmont Parliament member Shea was recently defeated in her reelection by a liberal candidate named Bobby Morrissey. Yes, Shea indeed officially lost to Morrissey. You simply cannot make this stuff up.

Over the course of his career, Morrissey has put a number of individuals on blast for their views and practices when it comes to animal rights, including the Queen of England, and most recently, the Australian government for their plan to kill millions of feral cats with the goal of preserving some of the continent's endangered species.

Music is an equally important commodity coming from the Morrissey camp so check out a video of The Smiths combining both passions as they perform their animal rights anthem, "Meat is Murder," in 2006 in Madrid.
