The 1975 Sing to Cardboard Celebs In Funky 'Love Me' Video [WATCH]

British indie-pop rockers The 1975 have released a very funky new music video for their equally funky single "Love Me," where shirtless frontman Matthew Healy is seen singing to a bunch of cardboard cutouts of celebrities.

Some of the cardboard cutouts include Harry Styles, Rita Ora, Charli XCX and Ed Sheeran. According to NME, the song itself, which was released back in October, will appear on the band's upcoming sophomore album titled I Like It When You Sleep For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It. The new album will serve as a follow-up to their 2013 self-titled debut LP which included popular singles "Girls" and "Chocolate."

Speaking to Radio.com last year during Coachella, Healy pontificated on the importance of releasing meaningful music when asked about his songwriting efforts with One Direction.

"The only thing you have to ask yourself about any music, whether it's pop or whether it comes from boy bands or whatever, 'Is it an honest form of expression or is it not?'" he told the site. "If it is somebody honestly expressing themselves, regardless of how they're doing it, it's alright to like it."

He went on to discuss how this new album's themes differ from the band's first record.

"The first album was about coming to terms with your adolescence," he said "This record is about the excitement and the apprehension and the cacophony of this world and this industry and all of the things that come with being a new band. A rising new band. That's what people want to hear, right?"

The highly-anticipated new album is due out in February 2016. In the meantime, the quartet will head out on a month-long UK tour this November, followed by only a handful of U.S. tour dates scheduled in early December. You can check out all of their tour dates and stay up-to-date with the band via their official website.
