In the spirit of Halloween, electronic producer/DJ Dillon Francis has dropped the creepy music video for his track "All That," starring the artist's zombie alter-ego Dead Dillon. The track features Twista and The Rej3ctz and was released back in 2014 on the LA-born artist's debut album Money Sucks, Friends Rule. Both Francis and his song will be featured in the upcoming horror comedy film, Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, which comes out October 30th.
In the video for "All That," we meet Francis' zombified persona, Dead Dillon, during the filming of the video set in a strip club. The rowdy anthem, of course, is the soundtrack to the entire thing--it's super meta-discursive in the same vein as Inception. He's at least several days undead if the ease with which his ear falls off (at about 1:04) means anything. Dead Dillon goes through the motions of making the music video surprisingly calmly--it's actually pretty weird that the dancers don't seem scared at all--until he bites one of the dancers and all hell breaks loose. Watch the video below.
While the new video comes just in time to help get fans in the holiday spirit, it's also clearly promoting Francis' big screen debut in the new Scouts Vs Zombies film. As Your EDM reports "In the film, Dillon has a brief cameo as a zombie, but that hasn't stopped the film producers and Dillon from milking the promo for all it's worth."
The promotion doesn't stop at the new video. This week, Francis is celebrating his transition to the silver screen with advanced screenings of the movie in secret locations, as well as a special show in NYC. According to his Facebook, he's also encouraging fans to post selfies with images of his zombified face overlayed.
