Miley Cyrus' famous tongue was used for good over the weekend at the Los Angeles LGBT Center's 46th Anniversary Gala and Vanguard Awards. While helping auction off a white grand piano donated by Linda Perry and Ruby Rose, the eccentric pop star decided to up the value of the autographed piano by licking it. And it must have been some lick because the piano went on to sell for $50,000.
Cyrus was on hand that evening to receive the Vanguard Award for her work in the LGBT community through her Happy Hippie Foundation. "I want all of you to know that I feel beyond grateful to be in a room full of so many people who care so much about others because unfortunately that is way too rare in the world that we live in today," she told the audience after accepting her award. "I'm thinking of tonight not as celebrating what we've already done but what we're doing and what we're going to do in the future."
She also spoke about how working with the center has impacted her and allowed her to find a sense of peace and acceptance that she was missing. "The first day that I got to visit you all is a day that I never will forget," Miley said according to US Weekly. "And that's because given the opportunity to sit in one of the support groups I walked away with a feeling of self-love that I have never been able to even give myself before."
Also being honored at the Gala was acting legend Jane Fonda who shared a playful smooch with Cyrus while walking the red carpet. While posing it up with Cyrus and her Grace and Frankie co-star Lily Tomlin, Fonda leaned over a planted a big kiss on the former Disney stars midriff. Sounds like a wild night.
#MileyCyrus' speech tonight at the #vanguardawards. She's pretty awesome.
